Delete your account
Applies to the IPTinCan apps (desktop and mobile), publisher: Human NPC Studio LLC
IPTinCan accounts live on the private server you were invited to (a family or community server), not in a central IPTinCan user database. Deleting your account removes it from that server, along with the data stored with it.
What gets deleted
- Your account (username, display name, avatar) on that server.
- Your sign-in sessions and the invite/access token bound to you.
- Messages and media you posted are controlled by the server's admin — ask them to remove your content, or delete your own messages in the app before requesting account deletion.
Nightly server backups can retain deleted data for up to 14 days before they expire; after that it is gone from backups too.
How to delete your account
- Ask your server admin. The person who runs your family/community server can remove your membership from their admin panel (Members → revoke). This is the fastest path.
- Or contact us. Email support@iptincan.com from any address, or use the chat at support.iptincan.com. Tell us the server name (e.g. smith-family) and your display name or username on it; we'll coordinate the deletion with the server owner and confirm when it's done, normally within 30 days.
If you own the server
Destroying your server from the account portal deletes the whole server, every account on it, its database, and its media. Backups age out within 14 days. Your billing account with us (email, billing history) can be deleted on request via the same support channels; we retain invoices where tax law requires it.
